About our 365 project

365 days of creative connections
For almost as long as we can remember, we've been each others "bff". Best friends forever meant a lot when we were young, had no husbands, had no children, and especially when we lived within close proximity of each other, or at least within the same 50 states. However, when one of us got married, had 3 children and settled in Montana, and the other took off to live on the other side of the world in Italy and then proceeded to marry and have a child, being best friends took on a whole new face. We were lucky if we got to talk once every other month. Emailing was a task that got pushed aside, as whole long stories we wished we could tell each other just never had time to materialize. Almost 10 years have passed since we started our opposite-sides-of-the-world adventures, and frankly, we have not been able to keep in touch as much as we wanted to.

Then, one of us (the more artistic one) came across Noah Scalin's 365 days creativity journal, and suggested that we go through this process together. We both have an artistic vein (or several of them) and have been doodling, painting, and creating together off and on since we were kids. Having our own kids means we feel the need to expose them to as much creativity as possible, but often don't find the time. Now that we have a mission (make it through 365 days of creative projects), whole new worlds are opening up for both of us and for our children. Some days we only get 5 minutes to create something. Some days we have life events that just take over everything, so we put our creative projects off until the next day. At the end of the year, however, we will have so much to show for this, especially on a happiness and friendship level.
Enjoy.
